2nd Trimester – week 15

Have you noticed a slight tightness in your clothing?

Your uterus is growing, and your belly is getting bigger as you enter week 15 and approach the end of your fourth month. To make you feel better, now might be the ideal time to buy maternity clothing.

Because your expanding uterus presses against your lungs, you may also experience dyspnea during this expansion, particularly if you are expecting twins.

Additionally, you might observe a few drops of colostrum, a thick fluid leaking from your nipples. This nutrient-rich substance is produced by the breasts in the first few days after birth. Your body is getting ready to breastfeed. Proteins and antibodies found in colostrum help shield your newborn.

Pay attention to your weight as week 20 draws near. A sharp rise in weight could indicate pre-eclampsia, a dangerous condition brought on by high blood pressure that can result in abrupt swelling of the hands, feet, or face. See your physician immediately if this occurs.

Week 15 Tips

Lying flat on your back may restrict blood flow; because it puts pressure on the aorta and vena cava, and sleeping on your stomach may now be uncomfortable.

To enhance breathing and circulation, try sleeping on your side, ideally your left. To find a more comfortable and supportive position, use a pregnancy pillow.
