2nd Trimester – week 24

During week 24, your baby is measuring 30 cm from head to toe, about the size of an ear of corn, and weighs approximately 0.6–0.7 kg.

He gains roughly 6 ounces (170 grams) every week as a result of the development of fat, muscles, bones, and organs.

Baby Development

At this stage, the brain grows quickly, With the formation of air sacs (alveoli) that aid in oxygen exchange after birth, the respiratory system is maturing.

Your baby may now be practicing minor facial movements like raising their eyebrows as their facial muscles become more active.

Your baby’s hearing system is growing rapidly, and they might begin to react to sounds.

Baby position

Your baby is moving around a lot because the uterus still has plenty of space. They could be in a transverse position, sideways, or even upright. Even though you might feel less at ease in some positions, these changes are typical at this point.
