What are the early warning signs of pregnancy complications?

Some symptoms should never be ignored and require medical consultation immediately, such as:

  • Blurred, double, or partial loss of vision.
  • Sudden or worsening shortness of breath or severe swelling in your face or fingers.
  • Severe, persistent, or sudden headaches, accompanied by changes in vision.
  • Frequent vomiting that prevents you from eating or drinking for long periods.
  • Repeated dizziness, fainting, or loss of consciousness.
  • High fever (38°C or higher) or extreme fatigue.
  • Severe anxiety, sadness, or troubling thoughts.
  • Intense chest pain that may spread to the back or neck, along with a rapid heartbeat.
  • Decrease or stop of the baby’s movements, amniotic fluid leaking, vaginal bleeding, or foul-smelling discharge.
  • Abdominal pain that doesn’t go away.
