Full recovery takes from 4 to 6 weeks, and some cases may need to stay in the hospital for 2 to 4 days after surgery. You will need help during the first days to help you move and breastfeed.
You may feel some cramps and bleeding for 6 weeks, with some pain around the wound site. Some side effects of anesthesia may appear, but using local painkillers (suppositories) can help relieve them during this period until full recovery is achieved.
