You can help reduce your child’s temperature by:
- Giving fluids regularly.
- Dressing them in light clothes or covering with a light blanket.
- Giving fever-reducing medication such as paracetamol or ibuprofen at the recommended dose.
- Avoid giving aspirin to children because of the risk of Reye’s syndrome.
- Wiping the child’s body with lukewarm water or placing them in a lukewarm bath, while maintaining a suitable room temperature.
