How can I deal with my child’s fever at home?

You can help reduce your child’s temperature by:

  • Giving fluids regularly.
  • Dressing them in light clothes or covering with a light blanket.
  • Giving fever-reducing medication such as paracetamol or ibuprofen at the recommended dose.
  • Avoid giving aspirin to children because of the risk of Reye’s syndrome.
  • Wiping the child’s body with lukewarm water or placing them in a lukewarm bath, while maintaining a suitable room temperature.
