While exercise won’t make labor pain go away, it will help you cope by increasing your stamina and endurance. Research shows that moderate exercise 3 times a week in the 2nd and 3rd trimester may:

  • Shorten labor.
  • Reduce exhaustion during birth.
  • Reduce the risk of high birth weight.
  • Decrease the chance of C-section in half.
  • Lower the need for medical interventions.
