Did you feel that your baby was smiling for you during this week’s ultrasound?
Unbelievably, your unborn child can now swallow, suck their thumb, open and close their mouth, and move freely and smoothly throughout the womb!
This week, a lot of women start to notice a slight improvement in their nausea symptoms. By week 13, these symptoms should completely go away, enabling you to eat more comfortably and feel hungry again.
You can begin monitoring your weight in week eleven as well. By this point, it’s normal to have gained 3 to 4 kg.
However, your weight might stay the same or even drop if you’ve been experiencing severe nausea or vomiting.
Because of the increased blood flow, some women experience warmth in their bodies.
The placenta is nearly complete at this point and will soon take over the task of moving waste products and nutrients between you and your unborn child.
Additionally, you might experience bloating, which is brought on by the hormone progesterone, which relaxes smooth muscles, including those in your digestive tract. By slowing down digestion, your body can absorb more nutrients from food and give them to your unborn child.
Week 11 Tips
- Steer clear of foods that contribute to gas and bloating, such as sugary treats, fried foods, beans, and carbonated drinks.
- To lessen fatigue, take a quick nap during the day.
- Select foods that give you more energy, such as cheese, nuts, and dried fruits.
