Lactose intolerance is the inability of the body to digest milk sugar (lactose) found in milk and dairy products. Symptoms usually appear within 30 minutes to 2 hours after consuming milk, depending on the amount consumed and the level of lactase enzyme deficiency. Symptoms include:
