Your baby is fully developed, about 50.7 cm long, the size of jackfruit, and weighs about 3.2 – 3.6 kg.
The brain is still developing, its size increased by 30% just in the last month and will keep growing after birth.
He can see objects 15–25 cm away but cannot produce tears yet (tear ducts aren’t fully open; tears usually appear after the first month).
Movements now feel more like stretching or twisting than strong kicks due to limited space, but you should still feel around 10 movements per hour or two.
As circulation adjusts, hands and feet may initially appear bluish. The skin may appear dark red or purple, but the first breaths will make it light red. Natural skin tone may take weeks to appear. A gentle massage after birth helps stimulate circulation.
